Internet of Things (IoT) devices are vital to how you do business, but the growing volume and variety of devices present a problem for many security teams. More and more non-business devices are coming onto networks, and they need to be secured alongside business IoT.

In an ongoing effort to spread awareness on security threats posed by the surge in IoT device deployment, Palo Alto Networks commissioned and published a survey on IoT security practices. It polled 1,350 IT business decision-makers in 14 countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.

Although IT decision-makers acknowledge the increasing problems posed by IoT, many of them may not be prepared for the reality of it. According to research conducted by Unit 42, Palo Alto Networks threat intelligence research arm, 57% of IoT devices are vulnerable to attacks of medium to high severity. As a result, the proliferation of and lack of visibility into IoT devices poses a major security threat to most organizations.

Grab the report from Palo Alto Networks and discover the current state of IoT security and the steps you can take to create a securer future for your organization.
